Welcome. Thinking about living, studying, or working in Quebec? This free mini-course gives you the first reflexes of Quebec French — the version of French you'll actually hear in the street, at work, and at the grocery store.
This isn't "French from Paris." It's Quebec French: a North-American French, alive, with its own words and rhythm. You don't need to be perfect to begin — a handful of well-chosen words make a real difference in your first week.
Quebec language policy
French is the official and common language of Quebec. In practice, this means public services, work, school, and paperwork often happen primarily in French. You don't need perfect French to begin, but learning Quebec French early makes daily life much easier.
